Flanagan, Edward Philip of Mattituck, formerly of Bellmore, on August 5, 2016 at the age of 70. Retired Lt. Colonel Marine Corps, Vietnam, recipient of the Air Medal 3rd Award and two purple hearts. Loving father of John (Theresa) and Timothy. Beloved brother of John Richard (Judy), Gerard Paul (Eileen), Terrance Douglas (Dawn), Mary Elizabeth Farrell (Kevin) and the late Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Lucas, Connor and Sawyer Flanagan. Caring uncle of Colleen, Bridget, Tracy, Philip, Sean, Kimberly, Josh, Daniel, Michael, Lori, Jeremy, Jennifer and Steven.
