Obituary of Emilio Vaccaro

Emilio “Vic” Vaccaro was born on May 20, 1933 in New York City to Italian immigrant parents Gaetano and Carmela (Trafficante) Vaccaro. He was the third of four children and is predeceased by his parents and brothers, Anthony and Paul. Emilio had a successful career in the furniture industry, serving as General Manager for Roma Furniture Company and Lazy Boy Furniture Galleries. It was during his early years at Roma Furniture that he met the love of his life Carmela “Millie” Pennisi on a routine service call. Emilio and Millie shared a loving marriage for 60 years. They had a passion for the east end of Long Island and for 30 years enjoyed their summer home in Hampton Bays where they enjoyed fishing, clamming, crabbing, wine tasting, long afternoons at the beach, and entertaining family and friends. A devout Catholic, Emilio lived his life the he way God would like us all to live. He was a regular at weekend mass and served as an usher at St. Barnabas Church for many years. He is survived by his wife Millie, their children Gaetano, Frank and Maria (Padula), son-in-law Nick, and grandchildren Victoria, Matthew, Jack, Christopher and Ava. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: St. Barnabas Church 2320 Bedford Avenue Bellmore, New York 11710
