Connie DeGregorio of North Bellmore, NY passed away on December 4, 2021 at the age of 95. Born on March 12, 1926, Connie spent her early life in Brooklyn. It was there that she met the love of her life, Guido, growing up as neighbors in their childhood homes. Connie worked as a seamstress in New York City’s Garment District and later stayed home to raise her and Guido’s three sons. She was the true matriarch of her family of children and grandchildren for many, many years. Her family will miss her caring nature, unexpected wit, and of course her unparalleled Italian cooking. Connie’s resilience and strength throughout her life will always be admired by all those who knew her. Connie is survived by her sons, Dominick and wife Lynne, Guy and wife Trish, and Nicholas and wife Mary; grandchildren, Lia and husband Nate, Alana, Kelly, Sabrina, and Nicholas; and sisters, Antoinette and Frances. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guido earlier this year as well as her parents, brothers, sister, sister-in-law, and brothers-in-law. Her family takes comfort in knowing that they are all together again. The visitation will be held at C.S. Bartholomew & Son Funeral Home on December 8, 2021 from 2:00-4:00p.m. and 7:00-9:00p.m. A church service will be held at St. Barnabas Catholic Church on December 9, 2021 at 11:15am. Following the church service, a burial ceremony will take place at Calverton National Cemetery. Due to COVID, there is limited capacity at the cemetery for the service. If you are planning on attending, please notify the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Gary Sinise Foundation, a charity and veterans service organization that provides services to wounded veterans of the military.
