Obituary of Angela Stagno

Angela was born in Manhattan, NY on January 21st, 1933 to Charles and Anna Cali. She was the oldest child of four, loving sister to Frank, Nina and Gaetano. She married her devoted husband Angelo in 1955. They enjoyed a wonderful life together for nearly 60 years. She positively touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by loving husband Angelo, her cherished children Linda Stagno and husband Scott Shelkin, Robert Stagno and wife Jane, and Thomas Stagno and wife Vicki, as well as her adored grandchildren Billy, Mark, Kevin and Anna. Angela was also the beloved Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Angela loved cooking, quilting and creative writing, having authored an imaginative children's book, Itchabel's Magic Potion. She was proud of her Italian/American heritage and spoke Italian eloquently, cooked many traditional dishes, and wished to have a portion of her ashes disbursed in Italy by her daughter Linda. Angela's family will receive friends and family on Thursday, Feb. 5th, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9:30pm at Clair S. Bartholomew and Son Funeral Home, 302 Bedford Ave., Bellmore, NY 11710.
