Obituary of Dorothy Gangi

Dorothy Gangi, 88, passed away on March 19th at 6:22 pm at Nassau University Medical Hospital. She was a beloved wife to Philip Gangi and both shared a graceful marriage of 41 years. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 2nd, 1932 to Daniel and Elsie Mucchiari. She was a caring sibling to Joseph and Rose Mucchiari. She was a devoted mother to six sons, Philip, Michael, Thomas, Steven, John, and Robert, and also her daughters-in-law Elizabeth and Barbara. A cherished grandmother to 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jackie, Dominic, Allison, Vincent, Christopher, Dominique, Nicholas, Annabella, Zachary, and Brianna. As well as a loving great-grandmother to three, Zachary, Emery, and Alexandra. Dorothy lived a long, healthy and beautiful life enjoying her favorite hobbies such as taking care of her family, bowling, dancing, cooking and watching Wheel of Fortune at 7:30. Additionally, She was also a member of the Catholic church. Dorothy was loved by so many and will sincerely be remembered for her loving and gracious personality and her memorable smile that made an impact on everyone she knew. The funeral service will be a private family visitation followed by a burial at St. Charles Cemetery/Resurrection in Farmingdale.
