Obituary of Elena Allocca

Due to the current New York State restrictions in place, the funeral home has a limited capacity of 50% for visitors. Please be aware that if the family has reached visitor capacity, family & friends who wish to visit may be requested to wait until the chapel has space to accommodate more visitors. Masks are required at all times. The family has requested no more than 50 visitors at a time. Please be patient with us as we work to accommodate everyone safely. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elena's name to the American Heart Association. With a very heavy heart I’m sad to say after a courageous battle with Covid my beloved Mother in law Elena Allocca was called home by our Heavenly Father this morning. Elena was a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother. She was a humble, kind & quiet woman. She was an amazing cook. She would give you the exact recipe but it never tasted as good as when she cooked it. We use to joke it had to be her secret well used pots & pans. She could fold clothes like no one’s business. I use to tell her many years ago that I wanted to hire her to fold for me at Macy’s. She tried to teach me so many times but no one could do it like her. So precise & crisp. Everything looked like it just came out of the package. Even fitted sheets! She loved talking to her close friends Pina & Annamarie every day whether in person or on the phone. They shared many memories throughout the years, raising their children together, Christmas Eve celebrations every year & trips to the house in Pennsylvania. Margret & Marty you might not of been blood but you definitely were family to her. She loved you. Every night for the last 20 years religiously she would talk to her other very close friend Anita. So much so that she would always call me Anita by accident when she talked to me. She held all her extended family close to her heart. Especially her family in Italy. Once she got a IPad & learned how to FaceTime or use the WhatsApp she loved being able to call & talk to them all. She loved you all dearly. She was very grateful to Aunt Filomina & Uncle Ralph. It was because of them that she met the love of her life. She loved all her sister in laws ,brother in laws ,nieces & nephews. She especially loved her children Andrew & Pina. She would of done anything for them. Her life revolved around them. She adored her grandchildren Nick & Chris . They were her heart. She lit up every time she saw them & was so proud of the young men they were becoming. And last but definitely not least her beloved husband Tony. She did everything for him. He gave her a beautiful life. She didn’t want for anything. She appreciated her beautiful life & was very grateful. She did everything for her husband. He was her heart & she was his. On the 28th of this month it would of been 56 years together. I am thankful I was able to give you that last hug. You hugged me for so long & so tight. I can still feel it. Thank you for blessing me with your son. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us in the past few months when this all started. I will never forget each & every one of you and kindness towards our family. We felt your prayers. I know Andrew appreciates it. Please continue to pray for us as we navigate life without Elena. Rest In Eternal Peace, our sweet Elena . Elena will remain with us forever in our hearts. ❤️
