Obituary of Lawrence J. Trefcer

Lawrence Joseph (Larry) Trefcer, 79, of Yaphank, New York, passed away on October 31st, 2023, in Stonybrook, New York. Visitation and Funeral service will be held at Clair S. Bartholomew & Son, Funeral Home, 302 Bedford Ave Bellmore, New York, on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Larry was born in Queens, New York to Frank and Louise Trefcer on January 12, 1944. He worked as a Foreman for Meenan Oil Company until 2004, after retiring from the New York City Department of Sanitation. He was an avid Fisherman and shared his love of fishing with his family. Larry is survived by three children, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother and his sister, 8 nieces and nephews and their respective families. Larry is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Diane, his parents, and his brother Frank. The family extends their gratitude to all friends and family for their love and support.
