Anthony “Tony” Pietro Viterise, 86, of Swansboro, NC, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Anthony Pietro Viterise, affectionately known as Tony, passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 86. Born on November 20, 1937, in Manhattan, NY, Tony lived a fulfilling life dedicated to his work and family. Tony received his education at St Catherine’s Catholic School in Manhattan before embarking on a career with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for Union local 3. With great diligence and commitment, he served the organization for an impressive 35 years, retiring at the age of 55. Throughout his life, Tony was a source of strength and inspiration to those around him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pietro and Antoinette Viterise, his brother Sebastian Viterise, and his nephew Peter Sterling. Tony's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his surviving family and friends, most notably, his sister, Maria A Viterise. Tony held a special place in the hearts of his loved ones, especially his nephew Peter Robert Sterling. Peter considered Tony not just an uncle, but also a father figure, showing unwavering love and support throughout their lives. Their bond was unbreakable, and although they will both be deeply missed, there is solace in knowing that they are now reunited and at peace.
