Daniel William McCarthy on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Cherished son of late James and Mary Ann (Ed) McGlone. Loving brother and uncle of Mary Ann (James) Hernon and their four children, Geraldine (Vince) Doherty, Tara (Tim) Donlon and their three children, Francis (Catherine) McCarthy and their five children, Veronica McCarthy and her three children, James (Amanda) McCarthy and their three children, the late Sean McCarthy, Raymond (Kathleen) McCarthy and their two children, Eileen (Dana) Fetrow and their two children, Brendan (Julia) McCarthy and their two children, and Clare (Dennis) Carlin and their two children. Loving step-brother of Timothy McGlone (Michelle) and MaryBeth Martin (Tony). Visiting hours will be Saturday, August 13 from 4-8pm and Sunday, August 14 from 2-4 & 7-9:00 PM at Clair S. Bartholomew & Son, Inc., 302 So. Bedford Ave., Bellmore, NY. A Mass of Christian burial to Celebrate his life will be held 10:00 am on Monday, August 15, 2022 at St. Barnabas R.C. Church, 2320 Bedford Avenue, Bellmore. Burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery/Resurrection, Farmingdale. Danny was a devoted son, loving brother and adored uncle. “Dan the man” had a witty personality, he never forgot a name or a face and knew people wherever he went and always greeted everyone with a big grin. Danny could be counted on to help anyone in need and was a kind and gentle giant. Danny was #10 of 12 in the McCarthy Clan. He was the first one to call all his siblings, nieces and nephews on their birthday - even if it was before 7:00am - he never forgot a birthday. He was an avid sports fan, especially the NY Rangers, NY Mets, and NY Jets he had a gift for being able to recall stats.
