Obituary of Peter J. Schmalenberger

Mr. Schmalenberger on Sunday, August 28, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Arlene G. Schmalenberger. Loving father of Peter (Mary) Schmalenberger and Greg Schmalenberger. Cherished grandfather of Thomas, John, Victoria, and Robert. He proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War. 66-year member of the Bellmore Fire Department and loving lifelong member of the Bellmore community. Visiting hours will be Thursday, September 1 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Clair S. Bartholomew & Son, Inc., 302 So. Bedford Ave., Bellmore, NY. A Mass of Christian burial to Celebrate his life will be held 10:00 am on Friday, September 2, 2022 at St. Barnabas R.C. Church, 2320 Bedford Avenue, Bellmore, NY. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery/Resurrection, Farmingdale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Nassau County Firefighters Burn Center.
