Eileen Williams

Obituary of Eileen Williams

Mother of Eileen, Tommy, Danny, Jeanne, Anne, Clare and Donald. Grandmother of Ryan (deceased), Erin, Colleen, Thomas, Kelly, Aileen, Michael, Casey, Patrick, Mary, Matthew, Sarah, Kerry, Willie, Timmy and Greg. She loved reminiscing about growing up in Woodhaven, Queens, attending St. Thomas grammar school and Dominican Commercial H.S., summering at Rockaway Beach, where her father was Battalion Chief and she met Don Williams in what was known as Irish Town. She enchanted us with stories over the years of her days working for the Brooklyn Dodgers prior to their move to Los Angeles. After settling in N. Bellmore, she greatly enjoyed working in the Bellmore/Merrick school district, primarily as Secretary to the Principal of JFK H.S. Our parents were active members of St. Barnabas parish and the Bellmore Knights of Columbus where they established many friendships and enjoyed numerous social events over the years. Together they enjoyed traveling the world on their TWA benefits. We are comforted in knowing she died peacefully at home in her sleep and is now reunited with the love of her life who she has deeply missed since his passing almost 10 years ago.
