Obituary of Stanley T. Bloniarz

Stanley T. Bloniarz, of Bellmore, passed away February 16, 2023 at the age of 93. Devoted husband of Eileen (nee McNamara). Loving father of Michele Conrath (Michael). Cherished Pop of Jack, Devon and Sophia. Stanley (“Stash”) was born in Brooklyn, NY. His family were parishioners at St. John Cantius in Brooklyn. After high school Stanley was drafted by the United States Army and served in the Korean War from 1952-1953. Upon returning back home, Stanley attended school and became an Aircraft and Powerplant Mechanic with United Airlines. Stanley enjoyed making trips to Vermont with friends to ski and loved the area so much that he decided to build a house. Vermont has always been his happy place and he simply enjoyed being outside in the country. Stanley met the love of his life, Eileen, at a friend’s wedding. They married in 1970 at the parish of St. Theresa of Avila in Brooklyn. They decided to buy their first house and move to Bellmore in 1972 and then became parishioners at St. Barnabas the Apostle Church. During this time, Stanley enjoyed a 40-year long career with United Airlines at JFK airport. Retirement gave Stanley time to golf, make frequent trips to Vermont, watch Yankee games and enjoy his grandkids. Meeting old friends from Brooklyn and retired coworkers for coffee was always a fun outing for him. Spending time with his three grandchildren kept him active and very fulfilled! Stanley had a loveable personality and was adored by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stanley’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
