Obituary of John F. Nowicki

Nowicki, John F., 91, of Bellmore, on April 9, 2020. John was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. He moved to Bellmore, Long Island, in 1959 where he has resided ever since. John's career as a railroad yardmaster began in 1946 with the Pennsylvania Rail Road, and finished with Amtrak in 1988. He is survived by his loving sons, Paul and Adam, his daughters in law Lina and Suzanne, and grandchildren Alicia, Talia, Carl, Paige, Justin, and Casey. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carla and his siblings William, Dorothy, Edward, Rita and Paul. His hobbies included golf, and he especially enjoyed cruising. John served honorably as a corporal during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952.
