It is a gift to have wonderful people as your neighbors. People you trust, people who help you when you need help and whom you help when they need you. People you chat with and chuckle with while you dig out from a snowstorm together! We were so lucky to have Tony and George as our next door friends for the last twenty years. I will always remember Tony’s smile! He will be missed on Natta Blvd where I know you two have spent your lives! My you find the strength to get through this difficult time George and find comfort in all the wonderful memories you and Tony shared! If you need anything, you know The Agostino family is just next door. May Tony Rest In Peace and free from pain.
With love, The Agostino Family

George, virtual hugs just aren't good enough, but they'll have to suffice for now. I'm hugging you with all my heart and soul. If I could be with you right now, I'd try to regale you with fond memories of Tony. Although I can't take your pain away, I hope knowing how much I and others care might ease it.
The following poem was in a card I received when my Dad passed. He was only 57 and I was devastated. The words weren't comforting at the time, but at a later time I was able to embrace them. I hope they will comfort you, if not now, at some time.
"The tide recedes, but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains . . .
For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains."
Grieving can be a lengthy process. It will probably take a long time before you can even speak Tony's name without crumbling. But I promise the day will come again when you can speak of Tony and his memory will make you smile instead of cry.
There are so many things to be thankful to Tony for. If not for his dedication, I believe the GCSC would have petered out long ago. I'm thankful to Tony for telling me the truth about Mad River Glen (Ski it if you can), and happy my first tracks there were with him. I'm thankful that Tony brought me down a short black run at Mad River without telling me first. Although I fell at the very bottom, it was not a bad fall and I accomplished something I never intended to attempt because Tony knew I could do it.
There you go, Tony was the Ultimate Caregiver. Always looking out for the other guy or gal.
Now we're all missing Tony. Probably the greatest tribute any of us can pay Tony is to try to be as kind and considerate as he was.
Rest in Peace, Tony.

My dearest cousin Toe Knee,
You are in my very earliest memories. Even though I was the sometimes bratty youngest cousin of the four of us, you were always patient and kind with me. I remember all the times we spent together; the barbecues, swimming, badminton and archery in Brentwood, holiday dinners where we ate until we were ready to explode (why do so many of my memories revolve around food?). You were always there with your great stories and advice. I'm going to miss you so very much. May you rest easy with all our angels who are there already watching over us. Until we meet again.
Love always,
Jessie (and Steve)

WE were 8 cousins in a short year we are now 6. Lost another older brother. There are way too many memories to share. "Anthony" was a big man with a bigger heart. We would spend 2 weeks every summer with George and Aunt Helen to enjoy family and Jones Beach. Loved hearing him play guitar and his brother sing. Time flies way too fast! I will miss his soothing voice, his good advice but mostly the love he shared with all of us. Rest in peace and when you see your mom, dad, the Lignante girls, and AJ say hello for us down here. Love you and miss you, "older brother from different mother."

Tony, Our hearts are broken forever. You’ve had a huge impact in our lives. We are blessed and grateful to have had you in our lives. You became PopPop when Mackenzie was born. I can still see the first time you held her in the palm of your 1 hand because she was so tiny. We will miss movie nights and ice cream with you. Mackenzie will miss her lunch dates with you and Nicholas will miss golfing with you. I will miss all the crazy things I would say to you as only I could. I can never thank you for all you’ve ever done for us. Your endless, unconditional love you gave us. We will miss everything we’ve always done with you. We are sad that our time with you here is done but we know one day we will all be together again. Love you always

Dear George,
Please accept my sincere condolences at this difficult time. Tony was an inseparable part of your life and few siblings are blessed with the close relationship you had with your brother. Although that will make his departure that much more painful for you at this time, it also is something you should celebrate as you keep Tony's memory alive. He was a kind and generous soul and we will all miss him very much.
With deepest sympathies,
Ken & Ann

Just one year ago, almost to the day, my cousin Tony joined in on a surprise 70th birthday party for me and now he's gone just like that. We were born six months apart and we always teased each other about how much older he was ! All eight of us cousins were more like siblings .I will never forget our trip to Italy with Tony George, Nini Edmund and I ! It was the best of times and I will cherish that memory forever. God Bless you Tony, our hearts are broken once again. Say hello to the folks and sleep peacefully in the arms of the angels !
