Obituary of Angelo Joseph Stagno

Angelo was born in Manhattan on 1/7/1930 to Santina and James Stagno, and grew up in Brooklyn NY. He was the 4th of 5 sons and loving brother to Tom, Mike, Joe and Jimmy. He married Angela Cali in 1955 and they enjoyed 60 wonderful years together, moving to North Bellmore (Long Island) in 1964. He positively touched the lives of many and was a true role model to all; he will be sorely missed. He is survived by his cherished children: Linda Stagno and husband Scott Shelkin, Robert and his wife Jane, and Thomas and his wife Vicki. He is survived by his loving grandchildren William, Mark and his wife Caroline, Kevin and Anna Shelkin. Angelo is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and sister in law Joyce Cali. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Angela. Angelo was a passionate collector, avid Yankees baseball fan and was devoted to swing, Big Band and jazz music. Angelo's family will receive friends and family on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 2-6pm at Clair S. Bartholomew & Son, Inc. A mass will be offered at 10am on Monday, February 7th at St. Barnabas R.C. Church, 2320 Bedford Ave, Bellmore, NY. Memorial Donations may be made in Angelo's name to: The American Heart Association National Baseball Hall of Fame Preservation Hall Foundation (New Orleans) The Family of Angelo also wishes to extend their gratitude to Sunrise Senior Living of Glen Cove for their compassionate care and support.
